We know… Labor Day marks the end of the summer season… That doesn’t mean we have to be happy about it! Therefore, if you are like me, you are heading out this weekend to make the most of the small amount of summer we have left. And again, if you are like me, you are scrambling to figure out what you need to bring and what you can leave at home!
There a few things that always make it into my bag when I travel and sunscreen is definitely one of them – to avoid those pesky wrinkles I try and make sure to apply sunscreen to my face every morning and that means when I’m on vacation as well! Garbo’s facial sunscreen stick is the PERFECT travel size sunscreen. I have one of these in my purse, in my car and in my travel bag. Just in case I end up losing one I still have a few more laying around 🙂
Another thing I can’t go without is lip balm / chapstick. I always find that my lips get super cracked and dry when I travel and it takes weeks to get them back to normal… I always try and use something that has an SPF to it as well so not only are my lips staying hydrated but they are also protected from the sun. Yes, your lips can burn too!!
Last but not least is my shampoo and conditioner. I rarely wash my hair but I am very picky about what I use when I do wash it… Unlike a normal week when I have a good idea of what my days will consist of, when I’m on vacation there really isn’t any telling. You never know when you could be thrown in a pool, get all gross and sticky out on a hike or just feel like cleaning yourself up a bit! For that reason I always bring the travel version of whatever I am using at the time. Right now I happen to be loving the True Hue Highlights Shampoo and the Colormoist Conditioner by Garbo’s since my hair is colored and needs some extra love.
Regardless of where you’re going or what you’re doing this Labor Day weekend make sure you don’t forget to pack your travel beauty products. You don’t want TSA throwing away your new conditioner you just splurged on do you?! Find some time to make a quick pit stop at your nearest Garbo’s before you head out of town to pick up everything you need (and maybe more?!).
